think they have had trouble with baliffs being threatened,by ppl who have no intention of buyin a permit.you cant baliff 24/7 its a difficult one.were all good at moanin about litter and kids, but i think the people doin the complaining should become baliffs if they fish these waters regular.litter is a big problem some people just cant be arsed takin it home, they just leave it ,it build up then people complain.TAKE YOUR LITTER HOME.KEEP BRITAIN TIDY

Browny, and how many times have you fished this water mate?So you say that the ppl in question who are moaning should become balliffs, well guess what, about 4 of us on here have been BDAA Balliffs before mate!.I agree you cant balliff a water 24/7 and the fellas at BDAA shouldent be expected to either. The problem isnt just with litter, that can be a problem with most waters across the Uk.The problem is with the state of the waters on the BDAA permit mate.I agree, shore is now an execption to this and has become a fav water of those who hold a Bolton Card.My problem is with the other waters that are on the card, bad pegs and pathways, and some of them have been left to get worse and worse every yr.Tell me,how many waters have BDAA let go over the past few yrs?i be you wouldent know Pete,as you probably havent fished any on the card anyway. But just remember,we dont condone violence against any Balliffs trying to make our waters better, and also all of us are 100% against the littler problem that we have on our waters in Bolton. On the whole BDAA have got some decent waters which could become better if a bit of money was used to get them sorted, and the cost of the Ticket seems fair to me.. now then if you`d like to nip over to the "other"forum to post what were saying then please feel free to do so.... and 1 more thing Pete,if some of the lads on here were able to join the above "forum"then they would surely put there points across to the powers that be...

tinc,i have had a bolton card a few months and have fished 4 of the waters, includin shore, which has had a lot of money spent on the place, the other waters that you said have bad pegs and pathways,do need money spendin on them, but obviously thats down to BDAA TO SPEND THE MONEY,TO SORT THIS PROBLEM OUT.about the litter,i cannot believe that people do this,i dont think its down to all the people that fish, maybe a few.but what goes on at night cannot be controlled,i have a newton card and 3 of the waters have litter and pegs bein vandalised, people goin there at night, gettin up to no good and illegal fishing.i wrote the keep britain tidy, because when i was a kid that was the advert they used to play on the tv when i was a kid,but nowadays its a case for the minority just to throw it,dump it,they just dont care, and basically this country we live in has become a dump anyway ,litter everywhere.so would be nice to not see it or have to pick sh*t up in my peg and take it home, because sombody cant be arsed.just made a comment to a thread thats all.i dont know a lot about the maintenance side of the owners that control the waters, but money could be spent,on pegs and pathways.hope thy do in the future

Not that it matters but you said "i think the people doin the complaining should become baliffs if they fish these waters regular." without knowing any of the history people on here have had.

Pete,i agree with you 110% about the litter problem we have on the waters up and down the country mate, its a disgrace. It takes 2 mins to bag,bin it and take it home.Unfortunatley there are to many anglers who dont give two about the waters they fish and they think nothing of leaving all there litter in the pegs they have been in.I say,if BDAA catch any of the pilocks involved, then revoke there permits.I was balliff of my local water Mertons once and witnessed 1st hand some prat lobbing his cans and bags all over the place after he went.I confronted him and asked him to go back to his peg and pick it up otherwise he would not be allowed back on the water again.i took his reg plate in case of any hassle and he went back, picked all the litter up and went back to his car looking very guilty indeed. How many times have decent anglers picked rubbish up thats not there?several times i`d like to think.90 % of the admin on Breaking Surface used to be BDAA balliffs at some point over the last few yrs,but all of us have packed it in for various reasons.I do except that being a balliff is actually more hassle than its worth. The free BDAA card you get given doesnt actually make it worthwhile does it.I`m not persoanlly having a go at any BDAA balliffs,in fact there job is one that i wouldent want to do ever again Pete.Alls i`m saying is that instead of us hearing all the rumours about certain waters being made better each yr,why not put it into action if possible. This is the 1st time next yr i will not be getting the BDAA card,as i`ve manged to find another club wich is slightly more expensive, but better looked after and maintained.I wouldent beleive all you hear on "other"forums Pete unitll like carl says, you have all the facts.I`ve had a BDAA ticket now fo 25 yrs and over the last 10 have seen a few very good waters they had, be taken of the card for whatever reason. so there ya go Pete, its not all about litter on these waters.I do no that the Balliffs who control Hulton Park are doing a great job down there sorting the bridge, pegs and pathways out though,so fair play to them for doing that... cheers
