hi mate
i have fished a few matches on here with the tackle shop (tonge moor a.s) and its a very good place to fish. if i am honest when i got there i thought to my self what have i come to here but once i started fishing my opinion changed. We have been catching the carp up in the water on pellets ether on the pole or the waggler also the margins produce fish (using paste) and fishing around 6-8m out in front of you will produce all types of fish if you fish soft pellet or paste;D hope this helps pal!

me and my mate brocky went today, what a days fishing,i caught 3 mirror carp, tench and a bream.my mate caught at least 70lbs worth of fish, mixed bag of carp, bream, perch.he had a fantastic day, really proud of him,not bad considering his reel was breaking.we used method mould ,prestons and envy from baittech groundbait and maggot.if we could of used a keepnet and weighed it ,maybe a lot more, who knows.buy a new reel brocky, thinked you earned one anyway.

Fished on here yesterday...missed more than i caught :-[
Ended up with 5 carp,2 bream,1 tench and a barbel (1st ever).
Have been told that you need to hit the bites early and not to let them 'develop',will try this when i go again tomorrow.
Caught them all on soft hook marine halibut pellet at 6mtrs on the bottom. ;)

Mark.

The trick to this water is to fish it close in if fishing pole as said in earlier about 6 meters and you will have a good days catch. Only managed to fish it once but caught on both waggler with 6mm pellet and 8mm halibut pellet on the deck.

This is Tonge Moors fishing water kind of they dont own it but it's there practise water and they don't advertise it coz it is a good water if you know how to fish it.

Fished here for the first time this year today...started on the splasher waggler, third cast had best fish of the day a nice chunky mirror about 10lb
had another just after and then nothing for the next 2 hours so decided to go on pole, had 4 carp,4 tench and a bream fishing on the deck about 6mtrs on soft hook halibut pellets.
Went back on the waggler for the last hour and managed 1 more carp.
Excellent value this place @ £4 ;)

Back on here again today, arrived early and was fishing for 6.30...second cast on waggler first carp of the day, recast and straight under...it was at this point that the Chav n Dave rolled up shouting "He,s baggin up he's baggin up" ::)...so much for a quiet days fishing :-/ ;D
Had 5 carp and a tench in the first hour, changed to pole about 8 o'clock, fishing up in the water on 8mm soft pellets @10mtrs...ended up with 15 carp and 4 tench in total...best of the day was a cracking mirror 10lb+ on the pole that fought like a bitch :)
Another top days fishing despite listening to Ryan all day ;D ;D ;D

I came on here on Sat about 6.30 and mark was just netting the mirror in the picture - it was a good fish. I kicked off on the waggler as there where carp toppin all over and i was into my first carp within 10 mins of starting. then another and another while Ryan had some belting slabs just off bottom on the pole. It went a bit quiet around 12 ish so swapped to fishing 14.5 meters shallow on the pole and had another 3 carp and 6 tench which was good but we had to work for the bites feeding 10 pellets every 30 secs then we dopped the feed to 3/4 pellets every minute which gave a positive result. This continued through the afternoon where I swapped to waggler and had 3 more carp through the afternoon and the odd tench on the pole. Best part of day was the morning by far but we both had quiet spells later in the aftrnoon. Packed up around 7ish with learning more about Ginghams and how to fish it so I learnt something and had a good laugh with Ryan all day which kept spirits up when the fish decided to stop feeding.

great day all round with good weather to top it off .

Had my 1st dabble on here nice little water and for £4 u cant complain. fished most of the day on pellet waggler catchin small carp between half pound and 2lb was hard work missed more bites that caught did have couple decent 1s on but they spat the hook when got near in . had an hour down the edge and picked few decent carp of around 3 lb and lost 2 nice common carp. one thing for sure these fish r great scrappers think they fought better than 5or 6 lb from brads especially that first run it was hit and hold and let clutch and drennen black hydro do the work . def try this fishery again
