Dont really think thats the case with Rakesbrook and Roddlesworth ,they were known waters and pressured for pike 11/12 years ago before anyone had the internet and theyve always been day ticket waters so have been open to anyone

I agree stonehands. Also the fish do move between lakes.I know of a big pike caught in both lakes by the same angler. It's just hard, always has been.

Had my float sail away bout 2ish.Jack about 8lb,Threw the hook after a few seconds.Roddlesworth is super hard,Especially with the size and depth of it and that you can only fish off the dam wall. But I don't mind blankin if theirs a chance of summat special.

Years ago we used to fish another reservoir just as your coming into abbey village. Think it was called the star. Is this still open for fishing or does anybody know who has the rights. Used to have to go through the farm to get there.

It originated from the sappi papermill,They don't have a website,It's about £35 a year for that one water,Like i've said though it's not been fishin well for owt.Last year I was talkin to an old timer who'd fished it for years. He said there's 10000 to many little roach in it.The only other species worth goin after are the tench,But you just get plagued by bits.

Roddlesworth is a challenge,You can only cast to the red line,The yellow lines where i'd like to put my baits...the blue bit is where i've been fishing & had to dropped runs...still a lot of water to go at...need the wind in right direction to drift baits across.
